One of the bigger challenges as a consultant I've come against is motivating clients to engage in link-building. A huge part of it obviously is it's a time and resource commitment. For the consultants, how do you manage this with your clients?
I believe guest posting, broken link building, and HARO link building are cost-effective methods of acquiring backlinks. While broken link building is effective, it requires expertise in outreach to website owners. I prefer guest posting and HARO link building for their efficiency and effectiveness.
Guest posting on sites with good traffic and keyword rankings, ignore DA/DR, is still extremely effective. But.... it needs to be done right!
Agreeing with the crowd on this one ( at least the crowd so far). Research, data, stats, reports... this is the way for most of my clients. I could see how for some, especially when it comes to personal brands, thought leadership could be equally or more effective, too. Is guest blogging for links still considered "white hat?" - thought this was explictly against the Google rules for some time now.
