Never underestimate a product team's desire to push out new releases once there is a lot of momentum.
Take Google Lens. Over the past 2-3 years there have been SO many releases of so many cool things I would speculate that pretty much no one uses! (Remember this one where you can hold up your phone and see business info of the places down the block: https://youtu.be/yLWXJ22LUEc?t=1468.... or you could just walk down the block).
I feel a lot of the AI/SGE stuff Google has been pushing is similar. Product teams are in "go mode" and they are just "going"
One ex. is the new itinerary builder they announced (https://www.seroundtable.com/new-google-shopping-maps-local-search-features-37131.html)
I would take some recommendations on where to go and what to do but if I'm taking time off of work and traveling with the family and shelling out a ton of money the chances I will blindly go with Google's AI itinerary are about 0.
Do you feel that some of Google's AI releases are not really aligned with what people actually want?
