Google recently announced support for Carousels with Structured Data: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/structured-data/carousels-beta
While it's still in Beta, I am wondering if there is any point in being an early adopter.
Thoughts?
By the look of things, it's only interesting if a site is within the EEA's jurisdiction.
These carousels are mostly aimed at new features for businesses like price comparison and marketplace sites, so as to comply with the new DSA and DMA laws. This means the beta program only seems to be interesting for a limited number of types of sites, within a limited geographical region. And since the new features haven't been fully figured out on G's end yet I suspect these guidelines will be subject to change (as often is the case with beta programs). I'm mostly curious as to how this will develop over time, and especially whether we'll see this expand into other geographical areas outside the EEA as well.
